Astrological Ramblings

I’ve gotten really into making memes, apparently 😂😂. I figured this time I would merge my love of politics, history AND astrology together! **I also want to make clear that I know most of these people pictured aren’t actually the sign that I have attached to them. I attached these particular signs to these particular people because these people seem to personify that sign’s energy (in my opinion, anyway). Why did I take the time to do this?? Who the fuck knows 🤣🤣
This particular missing person’s case has always really bothered me….it strikes a chord, if you will. I’m not sure if it’s because she is my age, or because she’s a native Austinite, or maybe because it’s just really fucking tragic to have a loved one be missing for SUCH a long time (or maybe….it’s a little of all of that). Roxanne Paltauf went missing in Austin, Texas on July 7, 2006. The last time she was supposedly  seen was at 830 pm that evening when she left the Budget Inn Motel off of Rundberg and IH-35 that she and her boyfriend were staying at. Anyone who is familiar with Austin is familiar with that area of town, and while it might be different NOW, back then it wasn’t the safest place with the world’s greatest cast of characters circling about. (I’m not sure what the area is like now, truth be told). The story goes that she left the hotel WITHOUT any of her stuff and was never seen again. The boyfriend claims to have no idea where she went or what happened to her. The astrology below tells me that while he may not have actually been the one to hurt her, her certainly KNOWS more than he’s saying (such as where she went and who she went off with). The boyfriend happened to be much of the focus of the police investigation (can’t really blame them, because on the face of it, he seems the most likely candidate). However, […]
Last seen charts are both ominous and of much interest to me. I’d like to think that I can eventually help to use my astrological “powers” for good, and I can’t think of anything more “good” than helping to give families answers to their missing loved ones whereabouts and what happened to them in the first place. At this point, a lot of people are aware that Naya Rivera (of Glee fame, among other things) went missing in Lake Piru on July 8th, 2020. The circumstances of this case are, well, just kind of weird and ask more questions than they answer. She rented a boat and was last seen around 1 pm with her little boy going out into the water. Hours later, around 4:30 pm, someone called 911 to alert authorities that there was a toddler on a boat in the lake (her Son), unaccompanied. Exactly what has been ascertained from the boy is a little unclear (to me anyway), though that’s totally understandable. He’s, I’m sure, in shock, and he’s only 4. It sounds like they were swimming, or she was just swimming, and she never got back into the boat. My heart absolutely breaks for her son and her whole family (and I’m not that much of an emotional person, really….but this situation is just really, really sad). Because I had (and still obviously have) some questions about what happened to her, I decided to pull a “Last Seen” chart to try to shed some light […]
Midpoints! A very important astrological concept and one that is not talked about as frequently as they should be. So I am here to talk about them now, hahaha. A midpoint is essentially the equal distance between two planets (or celestial bodies). You can look at planets that are aspecting one another, or planets that don’t. Midpoints can be used either way. How to actually calculate the midpoints for any planet/celestial body aspect? You can either use a computer generated program, or you can do them by hand. You will need to turn the degrees to the 360 degree zodiac first. The 360 degree zodiac is as follows:Aries: 0 to 30 degrees Taurus: 30 to 60 degrees. Gemini: 60 to 90 degrees. Cancer: 90 to 120 degrees Leo: 120 to 150 degrees Virgo: 150 to 180 degreesLibra: 180 to 210 degreesScorpio: 210 to 240 degreesSagittarius: 240 to 270 degreesCapricorn: 270 to 300 degreesAquarius: 300 to 330 degreesPisces: 330 to 360 degrees So, this is my chart above. I have the Sun and Moon Circled in Purple, and the Sun/Moon midpoint as the purple dot between Saturn and that Venus/Uranus clusterfuck. To find this midpoint by hand, I did this!——–Turn 1 Sagittarius 45 to 241 Sagittarius 45——–Turn 16 Capricorn 03 to 286 Capricorn 03Then you add them together (adding the degrees and the minutes separately):——-Degrees: 241 + 286 = 527——-Minutes: 45 + 03 = 48Then you divide the degrees & minutes by two: ——527/2 = 263.5 which translates to 23 degrees […]
I want to start Part II of this series off by making it very clear that you are so much more than your Sun Sign or your “Big Three” (The Sun/Moon/Rising). If you went off of the basic or trendy instagram/facebook/etc post about astrology, you might be inclined to to think that you’re Sun Sign is literally the only thing that matters, or that your “Big Three” compose the sum of your astrological parts. Personally I take real issue with this sort of astrology that is passed around the internet like some incurable clusterfuck of infectious diseases. Infection is a good word for it, really. I get the some of the memes and posts are funny (though some are downright stupid and only used as a source for starting some shit), but the infection happens when people take silly memes and posts to heart, using them as learning tools, because they don’t yet know anything else. So they believe that they’re toxic because they’re a Pisces Sun. They believe that they’re “boring” because they are a Virgo Sun, or that they are equal to “The Devil” because they’re a Gemini Sun. Obviously, universally, people don’t believe this popsicle bullshit, but for people who are just dipping their feet into astrology and starting out, and then seeing some nonsense like they are the devil because they are a certain Sun Sign, it can be be discouraging. And it’s just fucking incorrect. I don’t hold the learners accountable here, but those who […]
I have always wanted to get into teaching astrology (and writing books!), and have recently started doing this teaching thang for clients that ask if I teach “courses” or things like that. These have translated into sessions that are more like “private lessons.” I like the one on one aspect of teaching this way, and it feeds into my tutoring roots (of which I have years of experience teaching kids and teenagers math & science). Anywho, it’s a lot of fun. So I figured I’d make a post about the bare bones basics on HOW to read a chart….because when you first start looking at them, they can look like some kind of fucking foreign alien language. First things first: create your birth chart if you haven’t already. I know there are lots of popular apps and websites out there, but as far as I’m considered a lot of them produce charts that are a pain in the ass to read off of (I’m looking at you Co-Star and AstroCharts). While maybe not as “pretty” as some of the others, www.astro.com creates charts that are much easier to read (to put all the pieces of the chart together). Also, when you pull your chart, whether on www.astro.com or elsewhere, you’re given both the natal chart wheel, and what I call the natal chart table. I see lots of people trying to read off of that fucking table alone (this is a bitching of mine lol), and if you’re only trying […]
Lately I’ve seen so many different posts on the different forums that I creep on and articles written on different astrology websites about Transit Venus going Retrograde. Generally, these posts tend to have a slightly more negative slant to them (or dare I even say some fear?) involved in the line of questioning and phrasing. I think a lot of this has to do with the general negative or difficult view of retrograde planets in general, but Transit Venus Retrograde (or even Transit Retrograde Planets in general) aren’t universally a negative thing. I’m actually quite partial to them in general. They absolutely serve a purpose, even if they impact your chart in a “challenging” way (either in your actual Natal Chart or via Transits, Progressions, etc). Venus Retrograde is a particularly interesting planet to go retrograde because out of all the planets, Venus goes Retrograde the least often. It will be Retrograde from May 13, 2020 through June 26, 2020. When looking at how Venus Retrograde will impact your own Natal Chart, it’s really important to look at the house cusps in your chart that are ruled by the Venusian planets (ie: those that are ruled by Taurus and Libra). Specifically pay attention to the house cusp that is ruled by Taurus, though, for these are the areas of life that will be most heavily impacted. Venus Direct is thought to point more towards Libra, while Venus Retrograde is thought to point more towards Taurus (hence why the Taurus ruled […]
There are so many postings out there about relationships, and how to find the best possible mate by way of one’s birthchart. “What sort of person would I best with?” is a question commonly asked. There are a few different things that I always look at first and foremost when being asked these sorts of questions by clients (and answering questions as I creep on forums, hahah)….and this sort of question gets asked A LOT. Everyone wants to find their person (well, most people do anyway), so these are useful things to pay particular attention to for anyone who wants to learn more about astrological pairing from the natal chart. I have a visual below, with the different things that I’m talking about in this post circled so you can follow along with a visual. I know us into astrology (for fun, vocation, or both!) are VERY visual people. **Just to make it clear, I’m only talking about good pairings based on the natal chart. Obviously, actually seeing how these aspects would play out would depend on the actual synastry and composite charts between two people. I’m also NOT strictly talking about SUN signs, but talking about that Sign’s ENERGY in general. **Obviously, you would have to take the whole chart into account. Just because someones Descendant is in a certain sign does necessarily mean that the particular sign’s energy in question would be a good pairing for the person. This post should really be used as more of a […]
Hey guys ! So, one of the fairs that I’ve been working recently is going to be going on tomorrow via facebook live. Yod, Yod, Yod…..what the fuck is a Yod? I see this question (though maybe not asked this exact same way, hahaha) posted quite frequently on different forums and even by my own clients. People are always wondering (and with good reason!) what the fuck the Yod in their chart means for them. They’ve been popping up in my own client’s charts more recently, and I figured this was the time to actually do a post on them. The Yod (also known as The Finger of God) is an aspect, like the one mentioned in the chart above, where you have two planets sextile one another with the two sextile planets quincunx/inconjunct (150 degrees) from the same planet (or the apex of the Yod). The sextile planets are in harmony, operating on the same wavelength, while both of those planets are putting stress on the apex of the Yod through the quincunx aspects. While the sextile is harmonious, usually until the Yod is worked through the sextile may operate at the lower end vibrationally (i.e.: exhibiting the least desirable traits of the sextile in question) due to the quincunx stress. To understand what a Yod is, I suppose you need to first understand what a quincunx aspect is. The 150 degree aspect means that you’re (more than likely) dealing with two different sign energies that don’t understand one another. One sign is usually better expressed and understood, while the other one is completely left out. In the case of the Yod, […]
